About

Mkbstudio is a design consultancy specializing in modern spatial experiences.

The studio was founded by Maria K Hawkins based on the experiences and passion for evocative and memorable architecture, refined while contributing to projects and completed works in the North East United States including Massachusetts, New York City and New Jersey; as a humanitarian designer in Egypt; and as a senior consulting designer in San Jose, Costa Rica. The studio has collaborated with Joan Puigcorbé of PAAS Architecture, Barcelona, with projects and completed works in Costa Rica, Spain and the Dominican Republic.

Mkbstudio has evolved to hone in on singular experiences in building design, interiors and experiential events.

Maria is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects.
